1.Edward Davis Wood, Jr. , popularly known as Ed Wood.The movie "Ed Wood" made by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp was based on him.It won 2 Academy Awards.

Dwarkanath Shantaram Kotnis.The story of his life was the subject of a Bollywood movie with the title Dr Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani ( English : The Immortal Story of Dr. Kotnis), script by Khwaja Ahmed Abbas, directed by V Shantaram.

1.Born on October 10, 1924 he was an American motion picture screenwriter, director, producer, actor, author and editor (often performing many of these functions simultaneously).It is believed that his mother, Lillian, always wanted a girl and would sometimes, until he was about 12 years old, dress him in skirts and dresses.For the rest of his life, he was a heterosexual transvestite.Fascinated by the exotic and bizarre, he joined a carnival after discharge from the Marines. His several missing teeth and disfigured leg (wounds while in combat) combined with personal fetishes and acting skills made him a perfect candidate for the freak show. He played, among others, the geek and the bearded lady.As the bearded lady, he donned women's clothing and created his own prosthetic breasts. Carnivals would be frequently depicted in his works.
He made a run of independently produced, extremely low-budget horror, science fiction and cowboy films, now celebrated for their technical errors, unsophisticated special effects, idiosyncratic dialogue, eccentric casts, and outlandish plot elements, although his flair for showmanship gave his productions at least a modicum of commercial success & he is commonly regarded as the worst director of all time.

2.He was one of five Indian physicians dispatched to China to provide medical assistance during the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1938. He stayed in China for almost 5 years working in mobile clinics to treat wounded soldiers.The hardships of suppressed military life, stresses that were especially relevant to the front-line doctors who often had to work over 72 hours at a stretch, began to tell on him & he died of epilepsy on December 9, 1942 at age 32, and was buried in the Heroes Courtyard, Nanquan Village. It is rumoured that he joined the Communist Party of China just before his death. Besides being known for his dedication and perseverance, he has also been regarded as an example for Sino-Indian friendship and collaboration.

3.X released in 1980 is a bollywood movie.Expectations were high that this would match the success of its predecessor. It didn't match the success but still managed to have average business at the box office.R.D. Burman composed the unforgettable songs for the film and earned the film's only Filmfare nomination for Best Music. The film took 3 years to make, because of the juggling around of stars' busy schedules.The movie took its lead from the James Bond films with fancy sets and beautiful costumes. The villain was based on the James Bond villain Blofeld.

4.X is one of BBC's top 10 movies of all time this is & is considered by many as it's legendary director Y's best movie.The movie won 4 academy awards.It was originally conceived as a four part TV movie which spanned 312 minutes. A version lasting only 188 minutes was created later for cinematic release.The movie was also Y's last theatrical release.
Liv Ullmann was originally offered the role of Emilie Ekdahl (played by Ewa Fröling) but turned it down.Y was very upset and told Ullmann that she'd "lost her birthright".Y and cinematographer Sven Nykvist had a big falling-out during shooting, since Nykvist wanted to attend his ex-wife's funeral and Y wouldn't allow him to leave the set.Y's work diary was released in Sweden in 2006, revealing that the director had huge doubts of himself pulling this big film off. There are constants complain about illnesses, misery and fear he might not finish the movie due to personal concerns.
