Another Love Story
His past came back to him again and he relented this time. How he'd married her against their parents' wishes. He'd fought bravely in the war but returned home a cripple. He'd found a job in the bank but that too had gone during the recession. They'd dug into the last of their savings. His wife suffered stoically, scarcely uttering a word. He couldn't take it any longer and had slipped by silently in the night. However now, despite everything, he felt strangely contented. The train was less than 100 metres away. He stepped onto the tracks.
